Nicotine.app is not yet a Universal Binary! It will not work on Intel Macs.
A new Nicotine.app is available! Here are the new features:
Remember, if something isn't working [read the FAQ!] Note: If you downloaded this on June 29-30, please try again, that version was buggy.

Since the original Nicotine.app was released, there have been two native Aqua clients for SoulSeek released. In my opinion, they're both much prettier than Nicotine.app, but also a bit less polished. But don't take my word for it, try out all the SoulSeek clients and make up your own mind:
This project is an example of how to turn a [Fink] package into an application bundle. No more administrator access, no more terminal. All you need is OS X Tiger and Apple's X11.
The motivation was to show Mac users the wonderful music-sharing application [Nicotine]. I've also added a more general file-sharing application, [Lopster] and a text editor, [NEdit]. All programs are under the GPL license, as are the packages.
Where to go for help:
The packages here are distributed as a whole under the [GPL]. Here are the download links:

Thanks to everybody whose work is essential to this project:
The scripts I use to build Nicotine.app are [available here]. Sorry, there's not yet any documentation, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out.
Here's the old method I used to use. It usually works, but occaisonally does not (because install_name_tool runs out of room to modify the Mach-O header).
If you like this software and want to thank those who brought it to you, consider donating. You can donate your time and expertise by helping others in the [forums]. You can also contribute code or documentation to this project, as well as any of the [other fine projects] on which it depends. If you'd like to donate money, this project's developer [accepts donations], as do many of the other projects (or their individual developers).
